Loft Insulation

Loft insulation is a protective layer installed within your roof space. It can be positioned between the joists—the horizontal beams along your attic floor—or between the rafters, the angled beams that support your roof.

In either case, loft insulation slows the transfer of heat between your home and the outside, keeping your living space warmer in winter and cooler in summer. Insulation between the joists retains heat in the rooms below, creating a cooler loft, while insulation between the rafters also preserves warmth within the roof space itself.
